A few weeks ago, I decided to do something that ultimately felt like I was selling my soul: I started watching Grey's Anatomy.

To clarify, this isn't the first time I've seen the show. I had first started when I was a sophomore in high school, but then gave up somewhere around season 8, because I couldn't handle all of the drama and multiple storylines that were being thrown in my face. As much as I had fallen in love with the show and its characters, I knew it was for the best to stop watching, because it had started to take over my life.

Four years later, I'm rewatching the show and remembering why I originally fell in love with it. I'm now motivated to make it all the way to the end of the show and get to the current season, so I can finally see what I missed after all these years. However, while rewatching Grey's was probably one of the best decisions I've made, it's also probably one that I'm going to regret later on, especially since I'm a college student now with more obligations. Here are a few reasons that I've come up with on why watching Grey's Anatomy is a good but probably not the best decision that any college student could make.

1. Con: It takes over your life... literally

Calling this show addicting would be an understatement. It's a show that's like no other, and it has multiple seasons on Netflix available to watch, so you can easily catch yourself spending the entire day in bed binge watching the show.

2. Con: Your emotions will be all over the place

This show is literally drama 24/7, and it's the kind that knows how to tug at your heartstrings, so don't be surprised if you start Grey's and find yourself going through a few tissue boxes every now and then from all the crying you'll be doing.

3. Con: The cast switches around at least twice a season

Right now, the show is on its fifteenth season, and so many iconic characters have come and gone over the years (still not over George's final episode). What sucks about Grey's is that once you've finally started to fall in love with a character and feel for their story and background, they could easily be killed off in the next episode.

4. Pro: You fall in love with all of the characters

The cast of Greys is hands down what makes the show so amazing. These characters are like your friends, because you're easily able to feel their stress, pain, happiness, love, and so on. They're people that we can easily relate to, even if we're not doctors or surgeons.

5. Pro: The relationships will make your heart feel whole

Yes, there might be a few crazy love triangles multiple times during the show, but watching some of the characters fall in love with each other just makes me want to be in a relationship. Meredith and Derek are basically goals.

6. Pro: You're always left guessing and never knowing what to expect

Every episode leaves you hanging off the edge of your seat, because there's no telling on what crazy cases will come into the hospital, who will establish romantic feelings for each other, who could die, and so on. So much chaos runs through the walls of the hospital, as well as the lives of the characters, so you never know what is coming next, but you're constantly left with wanting more.

7. Pro: So. Much. Eye. Candy.

McDreamy, McSteamy, Avery, Karev... enough said.

Pro: You'll get helpful life advice

Everyone in this show has faced challenges along their journey, but the lessons they learn can easily be applied to our own lives and help us with similar issues. There's at least one pep talk or motivational speech in every episode, so you're going to have so much inspirational insight and knowledge by the time you've finished all of the seasons.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
