Dear Granny,
My entire life you have always been there for me. You have been the person to hold my hand and sometimes smack it, when it was necessary. You brought the family together even when we all could not stand each other. You made the entire family that I have now a unit. You stood for what you believed in with no apologizes. When my mother needed help, you gave more than what she needed. When I needed help, you gave me more than I needed. There were no questions asked.
You always believed in me even when I did not believe in myself. Your faith was undying, oh how I envied your faith so much! Before you left us and you were so sick, I would ask you almost everyday “Granny, how are you today”, no matter how you felt your response was always “I’m blessed”. Whether you intended to or not, Granny, you left your mark. Your beautiful, kind, and strong mark on all of us. You will live on through all the hard work of your three daughters and your six grandchildren. I will always love and always miss you.
Your Grandbaby,
Tanquanae
