To my grandparents,

I just want to start by reminding you guys, how much I love you. I really don’t think I say it enough. You love and support me through everything in my life, both the good decisions and the not so great decisions. You’re there through thick and thin, no matter what the situation may be. While some people aren’t close with their grandparents, I’m blessed to call you guys my best friends.

The memories I share with you are ones I will cherish forever and they are ones that I cannot wait to share with my kids someday, as well as ones I cannot wait to experience with my own grandchildren. You guys have given me the best example of how grandparents should be. Without fail, you are always there. Every accomplishment, every award, even every hospital visit, you guys are there in a heartbeat. There aren’t many times where you aren’t right by my side. Taking pictures, yelling through the crowds cheering, you’re always there. Even in the times where you couldn’t physically be there, you were always there in spirit. A phone call away, wishing me the best of luck and assuring me that I would do great. My favorite being when you would remind me how proud you were.

Your words of wisdom are something I could not do without. You let me make mistakes because, without them, I would never learn. Without learning you have taught me that going through life would not only be pointless, but very boring. Life lessons aren’t the ones you learn from your teachers but from the ones that have lived through it themselves. And while your children continue to teach me every day, there are still things that they are even learning from you.

What I’m really getting at here is that, I love you. I’m thankful for every memory we share, I cherish every dinner, every phone call, every minute I spend with you is one that makes my heart warm with happiness. The thought of going through life without you makes me sad, and I’m grateful to be able to spend so much of my life with you. Thank you for all you do and all the love you give, you truly have given me the world.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
