A Thank You Letter To My Family
Pexles

A family is something you are stuck with or the rest of your life, even if they choose to exit your life they are still connected to you in some way. I find myself valuing you all each more every day and understand your points of view better each day. To the ones who stuck around thank you for not hitching a ride out of it.

The archetype of a grandmother includes a stuffy stiffed lipped women who pester you in order to get you to better yourself. My own grammy doesn't fit that archetype in the slightest and I love her for that. She speaks her mind and always has a good time. She's continued to have fun and live her life for herself. The stories you've told us about your life have pushed me to be more like you. You look out for everyone you care about successfully but will still stand up for yourself. You've been such a huge supporter of anything I've really wanted to do in life. Grammy you have been in my corner more so than my actual mom. She helped nurture my love of reading by buying me books. The memories I've made with you help me keep moving forward so I can make you proud. I know that you'll always do whatever you can to make my life easier. I'm incredibly thankful for everything you've ever done for me. I have no doubt that you will continue to support me.

Older sisters are pictured as these wise all seeing and all known beings. They always have themselves together and I find this description to be accurate. My sisters have given me advice about things that I may have never practiced but still greatly appreciated and hope to apply in the future. You've listened to my complaining about school and things that didn't even remotely know about. To my oldest sister, you may live so far away, but your kind and caring nature can still be felt through face time, whenever you actually pick up. You make me want to be a better more mature person even if I'll never be at the same level as you.

To my second oldest sister, you struggle to rally me to my own aid and stand up for myself. I know that you want me to become more steadfast regarding my beliefs and my own wellbeing. You wish only the best for me and want to see me develop into my own person away from home. I can't thank you enough for getting my hair cut short and continuing your support for that decision as I continuously get told to let it grow back out. You have the kind of humor I aspire convey and I hope to continue to hear as the years go on.

To my brothers, I don't really have a lot to say. I'm proud of both of you for getting so far in life regardless of our history and your own choices. The same message goes out to my sisters as well. I only want you two to have happy lives.

Dad there really isn't enough room in this article for me to tell you everything I would like to. First off I would like to thank you for everything you've done for me. I haven't been an easy kid to take care of and even if circumstances were different I still would have been a handful. You've changed for the better over the past five years and are happier than I've ever seen you. You're where I gained my humor from (plus my friends). You've taught me how to respect people and how to gain the respect of others. We disagree on a lot of things but at the end of the day, I'm sure that you'll have my back.

Families will fight over simple things, but they will still try and help you in a time of need. I couldn't be more thankful for being born into this family.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
