As my friends and family take the next step in their lives and graduate I want to acknowledge two very important people in my life. My best friend and my cousin; both of these individuals are more like sisters to me than they will ever know. They are both taking different directions in life one going on to graduate school and the other looking to start her career. I'm excited to see where this journey in life takes them and will be there to watch them go through all of it from the sidelines cheering them on.

To my cousin Jackie.

I want you to know that when we go shopping all the time when you are home, I enjoy it most of the time. Spending time with you is something that I cherish and will miss very much. You are off to Pennsylvania to further your education with a great opportunity ahead of you.The world is ahead of you and I see you conquering it because you are capable of doing anything you want. I will visit you every once in awhile since you won't be able to come home too often. You have always been a person I look to for strength because you are one a tiny individual, but you have more strength than anyone I know. I know your parents are proud of you and are watching down from above with big smiles on their faces. If they could see how much you've grown into the strong, independent woman like I have they would be astounded. I love you Jack, thanks for being my sister, my confidant, and most importantly my friend.

To my best friend Emily (Emma),

I really wonder where I would be without you. We've been through so much in these past four years and seeing how much we both have changed has been an incredible experience and we've been able to stay friends through it all. As you take the next step in your life I can't wait to see where you go with it, going to your training this summer will be hard but knowing you; you'll soar above everyone else because that is what you do. You take charge and do what is right and believe in yourself even when you are in your darkest times. As you go forward with life and become a cop or whatever you decide to pursue I know you will be the best at what you do. Love you Em, thanks for being my soul sister, and my mother's other child.

Family is important to me and these two are people I look up to, and make me want to be a better person because they both have achieved so much in their own lives. They are role models and great individuals. I am looking forward to seeing what they achieve in the future and seeing where this crazy thing we call life takes them. Just remember that they say every road comes to an end, but sometimes the end just feels like the beginning. So even they y'all are graduating it's just the beginning.
