So I Graduate, Then What?
Nuevas Soluciones

Many of us college kids can agree that deciding what to do after graduation is one of the harder things we will experience. The constant question of "So, what's next?" from relatives, teachers, classmates and friends continues to make our lives even harder. We all want to do whats expected. Go to college, graduate and then land a job that we will be satisfied with for a good portion of our life. The thing I keep asking myself is, "What if I don't know exactly what I want to do? What if I don't like my job? What happens if I can't get a job? What do I tell people?" Even though these thoughts constantly cross my mind, I am both excited and scared for what the future holds.

I guess it's because I have been going to school since I was five. Every day there was the same routine. Wake up, get dressed, go to school, go to sports practice, come home and do it all over again the next day. For the past 17 years, there has always been some sort of structure that I have had to keep surrounding school. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to graduate, but the initial shock of no more school is starting to hit me. No homework, no tests, no worrying about grades. Instead, it becomes a never-ending concern about which job I will land and how I will possibly survive on my own with no parental guidance.

With just four short weeks left of college, I constantly tell myself that sometimes change is good. I know graduating gives everyone mixed emotions. Happy, sad, anxious, nervous and confused. Instead of worrying and getting myself caught up in those emotions, I have decided I am going to take things day by day.

Everything will work out as it is supposed to, and everything will work out with a purpose. At first, adjusting may be hard, but sometimes it's the crazy new changes in life that benefit us the most. Being scared is completely normal and leaving college with mixed emotions is too.

So for these next four weeks, I advise everyone to live it up. Go to classes, hang out with friends and make the last moments in school some of the best. Everyone is capable of achieving the best, even if it takes some road blocks on the way. Change is good, and change is worth it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
