My mind has been wandering during these days of boredom and woe. I've wandered from reflection to inspection and everywhere in between, but it always focuses around relationships in today's society. I've paused multiple times to think about male and female roles; how they've switched, stayed the same or interact with each other. So I've made the conclusion that women and men are less likely to commit to each other because of this mutual understanding. We say things like "I like you a lot, we have so much fun together and enjoy each other's company," and leave it at that. We trust, but to a certain extent...don't think social media doesn't speak, because it speaks novels. Yet many of us are happy with these types of relationships and that's the beauty of it. We are individuals enjoying the love of others personalities because they are beautiful...everyone has their own beauty.
But what I think is beautiful is full, honest and true commitment to a person. Why not try it out? Why not see where opening your heart and giving all the love and happiness you can, can get you? Relationships have changed. The power roles and trust issues have transformed our willingness to commit...and I am one living these issues. Yet, I am a believer in the "Why not?" motto. If you do not try then you are the only person telling yourself no. Rejection is a part of life and failure is our lesson...so why not?
Commit to someone who makes you wonder in their beauty, smile or quirky personality. Maybe it doesn't work out and maybe it does. Love is a part of life and to have multiple loves in your life is a blessing not a curse. So why not?
