While I have two other suite mates, I wanted to write a goodbye letter to the specific roommate who chose to live with me after meeting me over the Facebook page. My freshman year wouldn't have been the same without her.
Thank you for picking me.
Well of course I have to thank you for seeing my Facebook post on the Class of 2019 page, messaging me, and wanting to room with me after a few weeks of talking. It was obvious how much we had in common, and I'm so glad we were able to find each other.
I'm so glad we are both night people and on the same time schedule.
It was honestly the best feeling to know that when I had to stay up until 2 a.m. to do work, you were doing the same right across from me. We both understand that mornings aren't fun and that night time is the best time to get anything done. Well maybe not the best, but I guess that's just when you and I seem to get motivation for anything.
I love that we always got along and never fought.
I don't know about you, but it was a breeze having you as a roommate. We never got into petty fights or argued, and we always understood each others point of views. For the entire year I don't even think we ever had any real problems. Considering how many horrible roommate stories I've heard, it really makes me appreciate how well we lived together.
Thank you for decorating the room with me, and always splitting the costs of things.
With the chairs, futon, rugs, fridge/microwave, and decorations, it was amazing that we agreed on a room theme (Paris) and chose who would purchase/bring what. It made the moving-in process so nice and relaxing.
It was great that I could vent to you when I was angry, or we could just look at each other and know how we were feeling.
Half the time you didn't even need to say anything, and I knew that you were frustrated or stressed or even super excited! I always knew we had each other to vent to or talk to whenever it was needed.
Thank you for being a great roommate and an even better friend.
Whether we were studying, talking, eating, or partying, I've loved having you as my roommate. It will be hard next year not being able to come to the dorm and see you every day, but luckily we have two classes together so you can't get rid of me too fast!
