Summer is over for many, meaning it's time to go back to college and start classes. Whether you are a returning student or beginning as a freshman, here is a list of adventures that occur when you go to college, as told by the cast of "New Girl."

1. Moving in.

Hopefully you can fit everything in your car. Hopefully you have an elevator or it's not a million degrees out on move-in day.

2. Waking up early for classes.

Ugh.

3. Getting textbooks.

Which you spent an unreasonable amount of money on, and you might not even use them.

4. Reuniting with your friends that you haven't seen all summer!

5. When your roommates are gone and you get five seconds to yourself.

6. Getting used to the dining hall again.

7. Procrastinating homework because nobody has time for that.

8. Actual homework.

Syllabus Week is painful at the time, but you will soon wish you could go back to when class time was just listening to the professor talk about future assignments that seem far away.

9. Shower shoes.

It's a love/hate relationship. They are disgusting, but you can't live without them.

10. Walking to class in the rain, sleet, and hopefully much later, snow.

It will feel like the longest walk of your life.

11. Missing your family, pets, and friends back home.

It's bittersweet being at college sometimes, especially if you're far away. Especially pets.

12. Netflix binges instead of doing homework.

Because why not?

13. Trying to stay in shape by going to go to the gym.

Some people are better at this than others.

14. Having to deal with the laundry lines and the broken machines.

15. You will live for the weekends.

Sleeping in and staying out late. Sometimes the week feels like it's going on for forever, but it's so worth it when it's Friday afternoon and all of your classes are done

16. Trying to save money but wanting to buy everything, especially food.

You'll only get take-out one more time, you always say to yourself -- but that never stops.

17. Before you know it, it's mid-terms...

And you're wondering when you were taught any of the material on the exam.

18. When you're trying to sleep but someone on your floor is blasting music at three a.m.

19. When your class is cancelled and you think it might just be the best news you've ever heard.

20. Almost as good as an extension on a paper or project.

Procrastination at it's finest. Who knew that one week could make or break an assignment?

21. Living off of naps.

Without them, you wouldn't be able to function.

22. Realizing college doesn't last forever.

And before you know it, you'll be living in the real world. But that's future you's problem, so just enjoy college right now.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
