It’s Friday night. It has been a long week, you’re exhausted from the excessive assignments your professors have thrown at you, and you just need a break. Sound familiar? That means it is prime time for a girls’ night out (or night in, if you’re really feeling those sweatpants)! You know the story -- grab some wine, call the girls, and let the night take you where it may. Here’s how it goes.
You round up your friends to prepare for your girls night. Makeup and hair is done while you turn on some music (probably Beyonce), dance around, and help each other choose an ensemble.
Next, you head out for your night on the town. Time to get the party started!
Suddenly your song starts to play. Us girls love to dance, so if the music is good, you better believe we will be on the dance floor.
And the best thing about girls night? No one cares how ridiculous you look. Everyone has joined together to simply enjoy themselves.
As the night progresses, there will inevitably be the admiring of cute boys...
... and an endless amount of gossip, storytelling, and the occasional motivational speech.
The night goes on, and it is finally time to head home. But not before at least one member of the entourage cries over a boy...
... loses her purse...
... or just really needs some help.
This, of course, excludes that one friend that always impossibly has her crap together.
You would think that this is where the night ends and everyone parts ways; you would be terribly mistaken. This is actually the part of the story in which the freshman 15 makes its startling debut. You can almost guarantee that food of some kind will be involved in the next step of your adventure. Pluckers and Louie’s are just a few LSU favorites.
You finally make it home and are able to get in a few hours of sleep before duty calls and life must continue as usual.
... you can always rest assured that you will have created stronger relationships and priceless memories that nothing else in the world can replace.
This is why my friends will always be my sidekicks, wing women, shoulder to cry on, cheerleaders, and hopefully my bridesmaids someday. As cheesy as it may sound, you never realize how precious true friendships are until you experience those nights that turn into mornings with the people who truly care about you and see no issue with being goofy and crazy with you no matter how hard people are staring.
