Give The UnstoppaBULLs Wings

Have you ever sporadically decided to fly to Europe using only Red Bull as currency? Didn’t think so. But adventurous University of Illinois seniors Carolina Tovar, Emily Dorolek, and Katherine Davis are looking to do just that. The trio is participating in this years Red Bull “Can You Make It” challenge. The premise is pretty simplistic, if you’re willing to get out of your comfort zone.

Red Bull is going to send 50+ teams from over 165 countries to travel across Europe for seven days. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, it’s not exactly that simple. Eighteen teams from each region will be selected in the United States to move onto the finals. The top 18 teams are decided through online votes from people like you. From those 18 teams, four will be selected by a panel of judges and head off on the adventure of a lifetime.

When the challenge begins, every team will have their cellphones and currency confiscated. In return, they will be given 24 cans of Red-Bull and one smart phone. With these items only, the teams will have to adventure across Europe until they reach their final destination in Paris, France. Although the starting location is undisclosed, Carolina, Emily and Katherine are already excited about the possibilities.

Although all three of the “UnstoppaBULLS” have spent time abroad, they hope this experience will challenge them in new ways. Without cellphones, currency or familiarity of any kind, the trio anticipates that the Red Bull challenge will allow them to grow as individuals, immerse themselves in cultures and really pull them out of their comfort zones. The girls will be relying solely on RedBull for their transportation, food, and shelter. Craziest of all, they think they can make it!

Help these girls get their wings by watching the submission video and giving it a like. C’mon, who doesn’t want to see if these girls can make it? Their video can be found at http://www.redbullcanyoumakeit.com/en/applications... . Let’s see how unstoppable the “UnstoppaBULLS” really are!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
