Maybe We Should Give President Elect Trump A Chance

Let me begin by saying that during the primaries, i voted for Marco Rubio and after Trump won the primaries, I did not immediately say, "hey, now i'm voting for Trump." I actually looked at my different options from trump, to Johnson, to even Evan Mcmullin. After doing my research on all of the candidates i decided that I sided more with Trump on more issues and I felt that maybe he had the potential to run the country the best out of all of them. I know that Donald Trump said A LOT of stupid things, but I do believe that Donald Trump has the potential to turn this country around with the help of his future cabinet as well as the house and the senate; we just need to give him a chance. Trump is a very good business man and I believe that he could help the economy of the United States and maybe take away some of the national debt that we have acquired over the years. He has even gone as far as to not take a salary and he also said that he does not want Boeing to build a new Air Force One because he want to use his own plane. Let's be honest, his foreign policy is still kind of spotty, but he never really had to do much with foreign policy because he was not a career politician and he is just now learning the ropes about it all, but he has already started giving some commentary on certain foreign policy issues such as dealing with the United Nations or about if we should help Israel. The last thing I will say about it is that I do believe that Donald Trump will put the American people first. I know that a lot of people think that he will put America on the back burners when he gets in, but he has already shown that he wants to put us first. After the hurricane in Louisiana, he was down there helping them out and he even paid for a truck full of supplies to help the people out. He also wants to set up a plan to help out failing schools and try to make them better and he wants to try to fix cities that are starting to fail. Like I said at the beginning: he has said stupid things, but I believe that if we all get behind and try to do our best to help him, that maybe we could unite this country and maybe turn America into something great.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
