When You Give A Girl A Roommate, It can Create The Most Wonderful Friendship Ever Imagined

We all know by now that going to college is nerve-racking and stressful, especially when paired with a random roommate. I was the same way 3 years ago. But now looking back on it, it's amazing how a "can I be your roommate?" can turn into one of the greatest things.

When you give a girl a roommate it will be a little awkward at first, but will quickly fall into place (if it's the right roomie). You start off by learning all about them and their history. Once you know the basics of them, you start to learn some of the not-so-pretty facts about them, but you still love them all the same. Then you start to form a bond that is unique in itself but is very strong. And before you know it, they become one of your best friends.

I've learned this myself in college. If it weren't for Stephanie, I don't know where either of us would be in our college career. Coming to college we barely knew each other and it was decided she'd room with me and 2 other girls on a whim. The beauty about it, however, is that she and I's relationship is the one that lasted throughout freshman year and continues to as we enter senior year.

We're are total opposites if you ask anyone, but that's why it works so well. My strength lies in my book smarts and her's lie in her street smarts. I'm an Accounting major while she's a Psychology major. I'm a blonde and she's a brunette. Our contrasting personalities is what makes us click. This is also how we've learned to grow as individuals.

The greatest part about it just "clicking" is that that person becomes more than just your roommate. They become one of your best friends that it honestly feels awkward if you ever call them your "roommate" in front of someone else. They're the person that is there the most in making those wild college memories. I mean who else would I get stuck on a mountain, go hiking on a 70 degree February day, and getting paint sprayed on them?

It's crazy to think of how far we've come since freshman year. We've been the best of friends for 3 years now and are about to start our senior year. We have one more year until we go our separate ways, but I know our friendship will remain. Here is to our senior year. May it be fun, memorable, and may we reminisce about the good times thus far.

So I must say, when you give a girl a roommate, it can create one of the most wonderful friendships you can ever imagine.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
