I’m not gonna lie, most girls do want to get married. However, it’s never the ultimate goal all of the time. Sometimes we have different wants for each hour of the day. For example, at 11 PM, my ultimate want is to finish this episode of "Criminal Minds" before falling asleep, and randomly I have the goal of saving all endangered animals. A ring would be dope (eventually), but it’s not all that goes through a girl’s mind 24/7. Sometimes we want...
1. To eat as much as we can without gaining weightDuh.
2. To own every dog/cat in the worldPets are the best. They’re so much easier to take care of than people. Plus, they’re soft and will always love you.
3. Equal rights
Hell yes!
4. Carrie Bradshaw’s closet
Don’t know what I’m talking about? Watch one episode of "Sex and The City" and then you’ll understand.
5. To not be “mansplained” to
It’s rude, it’s demeaning, and it’s annoying.
5. A date with Leonardo DiCaprio or Jennifer Aniston
No girl – straight or gay – would turn down an evening with Leonardo or Mrs. Aniston. Any girl who says she would is lying.
6. Free tampons
They’re expensive. Enough said.
7. To cry AND not be judged for it
Oh, are my tears bothering you? Too bad.
8. To wear what we want and not be told we’re “asking for it”
No. Just no.
9. A cute pair of heels that are also comfortable
Heels are cute, but oh my gosh they hurt like a bi*ch. If someone could make a three-inch heel that is cute, classy, AND comfortable, I’d cry.
(C+C+C = Rachel crying tears of joy. Take that to your math teacher.)
10. To have someone that they can talk to at 3 AM
It doesn’t matter if we’re sad or we can’t believe what just happened
on "Grey’s Anatomy." We need someone who won’t get upset when we call
them at 3 AM. This could be a boyfriend, a friend, or even our mom.
Doesn’t matter. We just want it.
11. To be understood
“Girls are so crazy.” “I can’t understand them.” “They’re so confusing.” Okay, well stop complaining and TRY. Literally just talk to us and ask us want we want, mean, or need. I don’t know any girl who doesn’t talk about her feelings. We just want to be understood, but it takes some communication.
Like I said, rings are nice and some girls really want “a ring before spring,” however, getting married is not the ultimate goal of a girl’s life. She has basic needs like food, shelter, and equal pay that come before marriage. Not every girl strives to get her Miss changed to Mrs.
