Growing up 15 minutes from the Jersey Shore, I can never get enough of the sun and sand. But there’s something about the arrival of fall that has me ready to stow away my bathing suits and trade them in for a warmer wardrobe. Here’s how to make the most out of the most popular season on Pinterest.
Load up on candles.
Nothing creates a fall ambiance better than a candle. And the options they have these days are endless: from “Roasted Marshmallow” to “Pumpkin Pie.” Even “Flannel” and “Sweater Weather” (no lie, check out Bath & Body Works)! You’re bound to find a flavor you like that not only warms up the room but provides a great scent to celebrate the season.
Get comfy in a flannel.
The typical uniform for fall: a comfy, over-sized flannel. It’s also one of the most versatile items in our closets, and you can never own too many of them. With temperatures that are constantly fluctuating, a flannel is the perfect item to throw on that gives you the right amount of comfort.
Survive treks through campus in combat boots.
Combats are my favorite shoes for fall because they go with just about anything. Also, I’m able to hide warm fuzzy socks underneath. Plus, wearing them in only adds to their style, so bring them along whatever fall adventure beckons.
Three words: Pumpkin Spice Latte.
The first day I was able to purchase a Pumpkin Spice Latte at meal equiv, I did a happy dance in the middle of the lib café. This number one drink of choice is my favorite part of the season. It just tastes SO. GOOD. It’s literally all of fall blended and warmed up in one cup.
Be bold in berry.
A great way to transition your wardrobe is by adding a berry-colored lipstick. This paired with a simple cat eye gives you the basic look for fall--once you add in that flannel and combat boots!
Rack up those Insta' likes.
Show off your new go-to makeup look with a selfie. Embrace the outfits of fall on your feed. Go apple-picking until your heart is content! Take advantage of every possible moment, and snap a pic in the process so you never forget. Plus, have you noticed how great fall foliage is for a background?
So bring out your inner fall fanatic. Go where no pumpkin-picker has gone before. Or just simply HAVE FUN with the basics. Be an Insta' Queen and love every minute of it.
