A #GIRLBOSS needs a productive morning routine in order to accomplish everything planned for her day.
- Wake Up.
I would recommend waking up around seven thirty every single morning.
There are thousands of benefits to waking up early in the morning.
You'll feel much more productive if you wake up early every morning, including weekends.
Ever wondered what it's like to finally have the freedom to say, "What do I want to do this morning?"
This is the definition of living luxury: You'll no longer be faced with rolling out of bed, straight into the hailstorm of to-do's every morning.
It only takes twenty-one days to create a consistent morning routine, ladies.
- Open Your Blinds & Make Your Bed.
How much of a difference could making your bed in the morning actually make?
TONS!
How does starting your day off right, encouragement to keep the rest of your room clean, better productivity, lowering stress, and improving your mood sound?
I promise you'll thank me when you come home to a clean, organized room.
- Wash Your Face.
If you're only going to utilize one of these tips, for the love of everything good in the world, please make it this one!
Why is this so important?
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, excess oils and impurities can build up on the surface of your skin while you're sleeping. If you don't take care of this each morning, the build up can clog your pores and cause breakouts.
You'll feel much more alive and cleansed after washing your face each morning. It's honestly life changing.
- Make Coffee & Fill In Your Gratitude Journal.
Next, my favorite part of my morning routine: COFFEE TIME!
In case you were wondering, my favorite quote is, "I like my money how I like my coffee. All day, everyday." I honestly believe that coffee can solve all of your problems and if coffee can't solve it then nothing can.
I'm in love with filling in my gratitude journal every morning.
It's super simple. I just have a basic journal that I bought for $9.99 at Target. I write down three things that I'm thankful for in that moment of my life whether it be financial freedom, honest friendships, or even just waking up each morning.
There's always something to be grateful for.
- Write Down Your To-Do List.
I like to write down the most important things to get done at the top of my list and work my way down to the least important things at the bottom of my list.
If you feel like getting super organized, you can even use different colors to organize your tasks for the day.
It's super helpful for me to physically see everything that needs to be completed that day. Not to mention, it's the best feeling to check everything off the list as your work your way through it.
- 15 Minutes of Morning Yoga.
There are many benefits to participating in morning yoga including balancing hormones, boosting metabolism, prevent achiness, and start the morning relaxed.
I remember telling myself that I didn't have time to do morning yoga before class every morning.
But, if you really think about it, how much time do you spend scrolling through your instagram feed every morning?
Use that time to relax your body and prepare for an amazing day.
- Get Ready.
I personally feel more productive while wearing makeup so I like to indulge myself in a full beauty, glam session each morning.
But, if that's not your thing, do whatever makes you feel comfortable!
You're not going to accomplish anything if you're not comfortable in your own skin.
If you enjoy doing your hair and makeup in the mornings, do it! If you enjoy throwing on an outfit and calling it good, do it! We're talking about your productivity and it's important that you do what makes you happy.
- Get To Work, Queen.
Time to start checking things off your to-do list. You got this!
