Trust me when I say I get it.

I understand how you feel because I am just like you.

I know that in this era full of technology, we have the privilege of being able to post everything that is happening in our lives at the drop of a hat, as do our friends. It's a great way to stay updated on how our friends are doing and what is happening in their lives. However, social media can be a little overwhelming when your timeline is flooded with friends getting engaged, having children and starting their lives.

You congratulate them, and you truly are happy for them, but deep down it stings a little. It's easy to joke around and say that you're going to die alone or be single forever, and you're OK with that. However, you and I both know that isn't what you want; it's easy to play it off like it doesn't matter, but it really does.

This is one of the hardest things to deal with, honestly. What do you do when the one thing that makes you so sad is all around you? You can be strong for a little while and act like it is OK, but then it just gets worse.

The worst possible thing you could do is jump into a relationship just because you are lonely. I repeat, DO NOT do this! I know being alone sucks, especially when it seems like all of your friends have someone. The only thing worse than being alone is being in the wrong relationship.

Trust me when I say it will be OK! It may seem like that feeling of despair that comes from feeling alone will never leave, but at the right time, the perfect person will come along. When you finally meet this person, you will realize that all of the lonely times and despair that you felt were well worth it.

Take this time that you are alone and make the most of it. Better your relationships with your friends, family and even your spiritual relationship. When you invest time in yourself and those around you, you are setting yourself up to be the best version of yourself, which won't go unnoticed.

Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”

Waiting and being patient is one of the most difficult things to do as a human being, but it is one of the most important skills to master. Be patient and trust in God's timing, and everything will work out just when it is supposed to.

Until then, just love life and be brave.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
