Girl Scout Cookies Ranked By Deliciousness

Everybody has seen the little girls hustling malls, movie theaters and even your grocery store for you to buy their cookies. That's right, the Girl Scouts are back in town and trying to swindle you out of all your money. Don't get me wrong—I love Girl Scouts and Girl Scout cookies, but not all cookies are created equal. I think I have eaten enough cookies in my lifetime to pretty much be an expert. So, for your convenience, here are all of the Girl Scout cookies ranked by deliciousness:

12. Caramel deLites

Caramel deLites combine three of my least favorite things: coconut, caramel and a weird texture. For that, they have been ranked dead last. I know some people are diehard Caramel deLites fans, but they are wrong.

11. Rah Rah Raisins

For some reason, people keep on trying to put raisins and yogurt together. I don't get it. Also, a yogurt "chunk" just doesn't sound appetizing to me. Putting them in cookies does not make it better.

10. Lemonades

Lemonades are trying to be better than the regular Shortbread, but they are far superior to their Savannah Smiles cousins. I think I'm looking for a bland flavor in my shortbread, but nice try, Lemonades.

9. Peanut Butter Sandwiches

Peanut Butter Sandwiches are OK. They're simple and tasty, but I would rather be eating a Peanut Butter Patty.

8. Toffee-tastic

Toffee-tastics combine butter cookies with toffee, a pleasant mix. Toffee isn't my favorite, but they are gluten-free so I thought it should be bumped up a few spots.

7. Shortbread

Shortbreads are the basic white girl of Girl Scout cookies. They are simple and delicious, but plain compared to other cookies.

6. Peanut Butter Patties

Ah, Peanut Butter Patties, my old friend. I will find any excuse to combine chocolate and peanut butter, and these cookies do it perfectly. They would have been higher, but there are some exciting new flavors that had to be given credit.

5. Cranberry Citrus Crisps

Cranberry Citrus Crisps pack a whole lot into a small cookie. They have nine grams of whole grain, real fruit and no artificial sweeteners. A healthy and tasty option as far as cookies go.

4. Thanks-A-Lots

Thanks-A-Lots are some of my favorite cookies. However, I have wonderful memories of them being rectangles and having animals on them. I like the language inclusion, but don't think I didn't realize how much more cookie I got when they had corners.

3. Savannah Smiles

Savannah Smiles are a perfect soft cookie. They have lemon and powdered sugar and are a wonderful upgrade to the Lemonades.

2. Trios

Trios are also gluten-free and look like something your grandma would make. Everybody loves a nice oatmeal cookie, and when you add chocolate and peanut butter, it just gets better.

1. Thin Mints

Thin Mints will always reign supreme as the #1 Girl Scout cookie. You can tell me I'm wrong, but put them in the freezer and then tell me it's not the best cookie you've ever had.

You might think that cookies are cookies, and that they're all pretty much the same. Well, you would be wrong. I have provided you with a handy guide to your Girl Scout cookie-buying experience. Use it wisely and well. Let me know if I have shunned your favorite cookie or if, like me, you will always be on the Thin Mint bandwagon.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
