My Own "Girl Code" Advice
Girl Code

Sex. Alcohol. Periods. Family.

Everything is a topic on this show. Small clips are all over the internet. The show that talks about the embarrassing parts of life that no one wants to talk about, but we can all relate to. I was watching "Guy Code" with my brother today and it made me think. Hmmm I have a few topics I would love to talk about. So here we go!

1. Great Aunt

She may or may not be related to you, but she is overly friendly. She makes hugs last just a little too long and she feels it's appropriate to tell you your flaws. The only thing you know is she isn't a person you want to get stuck next to at Thanksgiving.

2. Let Your Friend Be A Hoe

As much as you want to keep her from sleeping with the wrong people. You sometimes have to let her make her own mistakes. It's called learning. She needs you to be there in the morning though when she cries over the big mistake.

3. Don't Hate On Other Women

We are creatures that observe. Lots of women will judge another woman by what she wears. Ladies shouldn't do that! We are all women. You don't know her life. We should build each other up not tear each other down. Praise her for being comfortable with who she is.

4. Escaping The Creep

Every girl has been hit on by a guy at a bar and been put in the incredibly awkward and uncomfortable situation of not knowing how to walk away. It should be a universal rule that if you can tell a girl is uncomfortable, it is your duty as a female to step up and help her out of the uncomfortable situation.

5.Ex's Are Off Limits. Period.

I don't care if he "has changed." Or "You guys date two years ago." Nope. Not valid. Stay away. Pretend he has herpes. Pretend he is a murderer. NO TOUCHEY. Your relationship with your best friend is worth so much more than a fling with a guy who odds are HASN'T CHANGED.

6. Point Out Embarrassing Moments

Don't make it obvious. However, if a girl has spinach in her teeth. Tell her to fix it. Same thing goes for toilet paper. Dresses too short. Smudged make up. So on. A girl needs to know when she looks bad so she doesn't spend the day wondering how long she looked like a fool.

7. Quickies

We have all thought about or have had one. Just a quick trip to a bathroom or in public or wherever you can enjoy each other for a few minutes. It's a fun idea! However, it could go good or bad. You could be fine and move on with your life. Or someone could catch you and you now have an embarrassing story of how you got kicked out of Starbucks.

8. If You Get A Text Late At Night

It isn't because he was thinking of how cute your smile is or because he wants to talk about politics. He only has one thing on his mind. We all know you're getting a booty call.

9. Picking Between Responsibility And Fun

Party tonight and get schwasty pants or be sober so you don't have an intense hangover at work the next day? The choice is yours. Choose wisely.

10. MY FOOD

I don't share my food. You want some? Buy yourself some. Unless you're cute. Then maybe.

11. Family Questioning Why You're Single

It is getting close to the holidays which means family which means disappointing them. Where do you work? What are you going to school for? Are you dating anyone? But you're so beautiful how are you single? What are your talents? "Ummm I can drink an entire bottle of wine?"

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
