So it's May and you're still not "bikini ready."

Maybe you haven't had time to go to the gym as much as you would like, or maybe your diet has been really hard to follow because of your schedule. Maybe you just haven't been as motivated as you wanted to be. Maybe you're trying really hard to lose weight and it's just not happening.

It's okay if this describes you. It describes me, too.

I'm here to tell you three very important things:

1. You're beautiful.

That's right. All "XXX" pounds of you. The extra weight? The cellulite? The stretch marks? Embrace it and work on it. You'd be surprised what a confident walk and a good smile will do for your self-esteem.

2. It's never too late to start.

Yes, summer will be here very soon.

However, you'd be surprised by the results you can see in just a few weeks if you set your mind to it.

3. Keep trying.

Even if you are working hard and you're not seeing results quite yet, don't give up. You will soon!

I know it's really easy to compare yourself to the girls around you, but I strongly encourage you to refrain from that.

Love your body. Embrace your body. Work on your body.

People will notice your confidence!

And you will be much happier.

Happy confidence season!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
