5 KEY POINTS TO GET YOUR CRUSH!

1. Make yourself noticeable.

*you want to be seen but not that much, keep it classy.

Okay so don’t go all creep stalker status on them, but if you know where your crush usually hangs out, walk by there. Try to put yourself in their environment because it’ll make it more likely for them to notice you. Just don’t make it a everyday thing because that can make it a little weird.

*always be aware of your surrounding so that you won’t make yourself look bad while he or she is not around.

While the key is to becoming noticeable to your crush, be careful to not do anything that you wouldn’t want them to see while you are in public. For instance, their friends or they might just notice you, and you could blow your chance with giving off a bad impression. I am not saying to not be yourself in public, but just be aware of your actions and how they may be perceived.

*make sure you make a good first impression.

First impressions are always important, especially with dealing with your crush. If you finally build up the courage to go speak to them, make sure it isn’t after a hard day at practice or eating garlic bread. Just show them the real you; don’t put up a facade that you know you can’t keep up with.

2. Have a conversation here or there.

*don’t be afraid to have a conversation.

Your crush is a human being as crazy as it is to believe. They have feelings just like you, they get nervous as well. Most of the time, people are nice and enjoy conversation, unless they are just huge assholes. When you come across those type of people, don’t get discouraged because everyone is not like that. Your crush won’t bite, talk to them.

3. Be flirtatious

*flirt a little but not too much until where he or she is uncomfortable.

Don’t be a pester and all in your crush’s face. Being annoying is a big no no. You might even come off as a creep, and that could really just end it before it even started. Love taps may not be a great idea just yet, but some playful flirting wouldn’t hurt. Just don’t overdo it, simple is better.

4. Compliment your crush when you see them.

There is nothing wrong with telling your crush that they look nice, or complementing whenever you see them. This goes hand in hand with flirting, just keep it simple.

5. Slowly let them know that you like them

Now usually by this time, you probably are either on or past “love taps level.” You might even have been texting them too as well. This always seems the hardest to do, but actually with technology now, it’s pretty easy to let someone know that you’re feeling them. Just send them some “heart eye” emojis and POW! You’re in!

Now get out there, and get what you want. You can’t wait for your crush, or just expect them to read your mind when they don’t even know you! Make yourself known, but don’t come off too strong.

Be subtle, be great, and be yourself!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
