10 Ways To Guarantee You'll Get The Girl's Number

Be confident, but don't be overly confident.

Forget Tinder, Bumble, and other matchmaking apps, it's time for us guys to swallow our nerves and approach girls in person. Granted, it is very nerve-racking to try and get a girls number, and a lot of guys don't know how to act in this situation or even where to begin.

But with these 10 simple rules to abide by, it will become a breeze!

Always look fresh!

First impressions are everything, so you should always be looking as sharp as possible. Girls will feel much more comfortable talking to you and find you more attractive if you have good hygiene (hair groomed, smelling good, etc.) and are dressed well.

Stay calm, cool, and collected

It is obvious if someone is nervous and most of the time it is also not attractive. Most likely you will be nervous, but do your best not to appear that way on the outside.

The art of communication

All that is needed is two to three minutes of fluent conversation. You are in control of the topic since you are approaching her! Find a talking point such as complimenting her outfit, talking about a class you may have together, etc. Whatever it may be, make sure it is something you can engage in. Do not talk too much, listen to what she has to say and make her feel valued. If the conversation is flowing and you feel a connection, go for it and get them digits.

Be okay with rejection

If you do ask for her number and she turns you down or has a BF, it's no big deal. This just means she was not the right one for you! If this happens, end the conversation with something along the lines of "No problem. Either way, I really enjoyed talking to you. I'll see you around sometime! :)"

Read the situation

If you are talking to a girl and the conversation isn't flowing do not ask for her number. If you don't feel it, she definitely doesn't.

Confidence

You have a lot to offer and you should know your worth. Be sure of yourself and carry yourself with pride.

Don't be too aggressive

Don't come off too strongly! This goes hand and hand with confidence. Be confident, but don't be overly confident, this could come off as arrogant or cocky.

Be sincere

Be true to yourself! Don't try and act like what you think she wants. Show off your personality and be genuine.

Personal space

Do not breach any boundaries. Not everyone is comfortable with being touched, especially not by some stranger they just met. To be on the safe side, give her her space. #strangerdanger

 Be respectful

Not only when talking to girls, but when talking to anyone, always treat people with respect. Be kind and use the manners we all should have!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
