Full House will always have a special place in my heart, it was my childhood. Can Fuller House live up to my expectations? (Maybe...) But here is what went through my mind while watching the first episode.
The Opening
1. All this reminds me of my childhood.
2. This is definitely a renovated kitchen.
3. Danny looks old...
4. They already put three jokes from the old show in here.
5. Hereeee's DJ!
6. Why is Stephanie British?
7. ALL THE SHADE!!!!!!
8. Of course! Cell phones now, and all at the same time. Genius.
9. Yass Nicky and Alex!
10. That arm punch was really awkward guys.
11. Thank you for making the college joke Uncle Jesse. It is expensive.
12. Breaking the fourth wall counter: two times now.
13. I've never been so happy to see Kimmy in my life.
14. Finally, the technical reason why we are here. The children.
15. BUT REALLY WHY IS SHE BRITISH?
16. Whoa, a political dig!
17. Why the flip is Danny selling the house? Didn't we have a whole episode where Michelle and friends did everything they could to make Danny and everybody not move and sell?
18. Cue the Kimmy foot joke.
19. Followed by the Stephanie catchphrase. How Rude?
20. Yup, the British accent is definitely gone.
21. Andddd second political dig!
The Show Theme
22. Love Carly, but this might be too pop centered- no definitely too poppy!! (Thanks for the heads up Rhion.)
23. Still got shivers of happiness from hearing the words and seeing the opening though.
24. Ahh reenactments. Mainly Steve.
The Show Itself
25. Yas, "Lion King" reference.
26. Gosh I missed Stephanie!
27. So the three are established, DJ is Danny (the widowed parent of three), Stephanie is Jessie (the wild sibling), and Kimmy is Joey (and the goofy one).
28. Ahh recounting memories. Remember when you first moved in and I drew that line through the room? Haha.
29. Ah, like children again. My question is did Stephanie really think those curtains could hold her up now?
30. Cue Uncle Jesse's catchphrase thrown in. Have Mercy.
31.The old method of parenthood. Say I'm Sorry. And I love you. And hug it out.
32. Cue family hug.
33. Cue Mr. Woodchuck.
34. So, Danny who is this woman? Definitely not Vikky!
35. Cue Danny's punchlines about cleaning.
36. And now, we can see the person Danny hid in the original show.
37. Ahh Max a young Danny Tanner.
38. Well Kimmy, you did pretty good on the attractive man part.
39. Btw Kimmy, you look dang good girl!
40. You can tell this is set in today's time, because of the sexual references in it.
41. And Steph, yeah, your boobs are a little much.
42. Thank God, it's Steve!
43. So wait, Steve has Comet jr. jr.? Why doesn't Danny?
44. I will always accept Steve into my house. And I will always accept Steve's jokes about food.
45. Favorite character? STEVE!
46. Ah I see a young romance between DJ's son and Kimmy's daughter, that shall start happening episode two.
47. Love the twins, please stay on here!
48. Forever, the song that made me weep as a child.
49. Max moving your brother's arm to rest on your shoulder, cutest. thing. ever.
50. That harmony though.
51. STEPHANIE!! YES GIRL YAS!! That singing voice though.
52. Cue Danny singing Wild Thing, of course.
53. Literally, they don't look 13.
54. Steve you are my favorite person.
55. Same Steve same, I thought you and DJ would end up together too.
56. Yass Steve. Sing Forever. (Whispers creepy, I've been so happy loving you Steve.)
57. Nice Steve. Remind her every chance you get that you are both single. My childhood ship.
58. Those little tones that shows some time has past, sounded too new aged.
59. Kimmy and Danny hug, best thing ever.
60. Oh Ramona, you are like every other Disney Channel, Nickelodeon preteen Star, extremely annoying. Amendment, I've now realized that all the children on this show are like that. (At least in this episode.)
61. Is DJ a vet? Or a doctor of some sort?
62. DJ you're going to be my least favorite aren't you? Yeah, you are.
63. It's okay to ask for help DJ! You don't have to do everything by yourself.
64. That shirt is definitely not from 1989. That brown, peach, and green are all from this decade.
65. Cue Joey's catchphrase. Cut. It. Out.
66. Cue more crude humor (though that one was quite funny).
67. Heartbreaking baby monitor conversation: check. (Tears.)
68. STEPHANIE! You are the bomb.
69. Thus on this day, the trio was set in place.
70. Kimmy, I always wanted to live there too! (Tears.)
71. Good luck with that puppy, little man.
72. The singing makes me want to cry.
73. Cue the double screen so we know what you're referencing.
74. You do have big shoes to fill. This was my childhood remember?
75. Cue the new generation. (Although those kids have to be really smart to pick up the lyrics that their parents literally just sang considering they would not know the Flintstones very well. Just saying.)
In loving memory... how beautiful. :')
I will say, I don't know how well I will like the rest of the show (though I'm sure I will). But this was a great blast from the past. Have fun watching.
