If you are a Game of Thrones fan and you didn't watch the night of the premiere... shame...SHAME! But really if you haven't watched, you should before you read this article because this will have massive spoilers. It is about damn time this show came back because after last season's cliffhanger it couldn't come fast enough. So let's talk about it. Jon Snow dying left a big hole in many people's hearts, including mine. Obviously, there have been several theories that include his resurrection, but after seeing the pace of last night's episode it is unlikely to see that happen anytime soon. If anything, it might even be season 7 or 8. At the wall in Sunday's episode it showed little, but it was mostly the confrontation between Ser Alliser Thorne and Ser Davos Seaworth. It seems that Davos is planning to rebel and escape the wall someone even though they are outnumbered something like 8 to 40. However, they do have a direwolf in Ghost but Davos would rather live than die for John.
As we go to Dorne we see Prince Doran talking to his Oberyn's lover and his daughter and then all of a sudden, bam! He's dead. Apparently all of Dorne thought he was pretty soft as shown by his guards doing nothing when he is stabbed in the heart. Then we go to his son, Tristain, and he gets stabbed in the head. Just like that no more males in the Dornish Royal Family. Apparently Ellaria Sand is going to take over as the ruler of Dorne? She has major beef with the Lannisters after killing her lover and her sister way back before the show even started. We go to Arya in Pentos looking very blind and very poor. She is basically a common street rat until the girl from the face place comes up to her and starts fighting her. They fight using sticks, and Arya gets her ass kicked. I mean she's blind what did you expect? If Arya does get a hang of this blind thing she could have some daredevil like warrior fighting abilities which I think is the coolest direction her story line could go in.
The most involved story line was Sansa Stark's. Theon and Sansa are on the run from good ol' Ramsey Bolton and his hounds. Just when they are about to get caught and eaten Brienne of Tarth and Pod come through and save them. This was the most fighting we got all episode and the first evidence we have of these groups meeting up. Brienne then pledged herself to Sansa, and this begs the question: could Sansa make a run for the Iron Throne? She is the oldest Stark left alive that we know of. We haven't seen Bran or Rickon in seasons and she is needed for anyone to unite the North. I'm all for Queen Sansa.
