20 Thoughts For My Future Daughter

I know we haven't met yet, but that's not the important part. My mom is one of the wisest people I know, and that's what I want to pass on to my daughter. And someday, you'll be as old as I am and in college and you'll be questioning everything about yourself, but here are a few things I always want you to remember.

1. Remember to love yourself.

2. Always be confident.

3. You're stronger than you think.

4. Never let anyone put you down.

5. Always be the best person you can be.

6. There's nothing stopping you from what you want out of life.

7. Find a hobby, something that will get you out of bed in the morning.

8. There will always be a drastic difference between your 3 p.m. and 3 a.m. self.

9. Don't be scared to fall in love; you can find it in the most unexpected places.

10. It's OK to be alone sometimes.

11. You might not make the best choices sometimes, but if you learn from it that is all that's important.

12. I will always be one quick phone call away, no matter the time.

13. Your mental health is always the most important.

14. Be courageous, you will regret it if you don't do something you wanted to do.

15. Also, living off of just salad will just make you sad, don't do it.

16. Chocolate will always be a great comfort, no matter the time.

17. Life might not always be rainbows and butterflies, but when it is cherish it.

18. Sleep is very important, always remember that.

19. Guys aren't the most important part of your life, don't forget about your girl friends too.

20. Remember, I will always love you.

No matter how old you are, or where you are, always cherish these 20 things -- it'll change your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
