=It's summer and we all know what that means… It's time to go out and have fun! Whether you want to go out for a night out on the town or you are looking for a nice day outside. There is one major factor that comes to play into everything that you do and that is the cost of things! Here is a list of things that you can do that are also fairly cheap!
1. Hiking
Hiking in Colorado is one of the best things you could do! It is fun and exciting. It is also free which is even better! I mean it might not entirely be free due to the fact of parking, but that is still a small cost for the trip. But anyways Colorado has a lot of beautiful places to go and hike! My personal favorite is Chautauqua in Boulder.
2. The Grizzly Rose
This is a famous staple in Colorado history. You know it is special when the great Garth Brooks mentions it in one of his songs. Garth Brooks specifically makes mention of The Grizzly Rose in his song “The Old Stuff”. This place is one of the biggest country bars in the state and it is a great time! Each day has a different thing going on but the one night that always stays the same is Sunday night. It just cost $5 to get in and have fun!
3. Boulder Reservoir
I am not even from Boulder but it does hold a special part in my heart. This is somewhere to go and cool off for the day. One of the nice cool sandy “beaches” that Colorado has to offer! I know it is no beach you would find in California, but it is still just as nice! It only costs around $7 to get in, which is a nice!
4. Castle Rock Outlets
Maybe you just want to go out and just look around and shop. Well, one of the best places to do this at is the Castle Rock Outlets. This outdoor mall is free to anyone that is in the mood to shop. It has many stores that have a lot to offer. The only cost is anything you feel like purchasing!
5. 16th Street Mall
Here is another mall in Colorado but instead in Denver! This mall is really cool and fun. It has many unique and cool stores. Plus my favorite restaurant “Mellow Mushroom”! It is one of the best pizza places! But again, like the Castle Rock Outlets, this is a free place to go and the only money you spend is on anything you find in a store!
6. Denver Zoo
I have been to the Denver Zoo so many times that it is not funny! I love this place and it truly holds a special part in my heart and memories. This accredited Zoo is one of the best in the nation. It is like an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. Granted yes this somewhat pricey compared to other things on this list, being around $17, it still is something that is well worth the expense!
7. Red Rocks Amphitheater
Depending on what you do here it can be free or it can be costly. But this is one place that should be seen when you come to Colorado or even live in Colorado. I am more talking about going to work out and walk around Red Rocks. You can just go, park, and just hang out! Or you can see a concert, which will be one of the best concerts you have ever been too. But those prices all range and vary for each performer!
8. Little Man Ice Cream
Another Denver hotspot here! I went here after dinner for prom and got some of the best ice cream I could ever ask for! It’s a cute little place in Denver that is delicious! Prices vary, but the most expensive thing on the menu is about $6! Which is a great deal for ice cream! But in the summer, you need to get there either early or be willing to wait in a long line! They draw a huge crowd!
9. Rockies Game
These games are exciting and so much fun! Rockies games are always exciting and are never the same. The cheapest tickets that you can get are about $14. Which isn’t bad for a day at the ballpark! Grab yourself an iconic Rocky Dog and enjoy a nice game!
