Looking for something fun and exciting to do this summer? Are you tired of saying, "Ugh, there's nothing to do!"? Everyone wants to be occupied with something fun during the summer. Whether you enjoy the outdoors, socializing with friends, or being inside, there are always activities to do that will kick start your break.

Here are 14 activities that will enhance your summer vacation, that will be memorable and enjoyable.

1. Go to Cedar Point

This is definitely one of the most exciting and thrilling places to go during the summer! Whether you like roller coasters or not, or if you just like the atmosphere, Cedar Point will put a smile on your face no matter what!

2. Go to the pool

Go for a swim or just socialize with your friends at the pool! It's so relaxing and it's a very fun activity to get you out and about.

3. Go to the park

Get some exercise in! Go for a jog, bike, or take a walk with a friend. It's always so incredibly refreshing to be amongst nature's beauty.

4. Go on a bike ride

This is certainly a great form of exercise, along with being in the outdoors.

5. Travel by going on a road trip

Gather your friends or family and go for a ride! Travel from state to state and explore your favorite one!

6. See a movie at the movie theater

There's always somethin' about the atmosphere and MOVIE THEATER POPCORN..am I right?!

7. Have a movie night at home

Get together with a couple of your friends or with your family, get comfortable, make some popcorn, and watch a funny movie! It'll be a great conversation piece later, discussing what happened in the movie. It's also a great way to just catch up in general, with your friends or family, and to spend time together.

8. Go to any nearby beach

Whether you live near a beach or a lake with sand, it's enjoyable to go out and swim, rather than just sitting in the house on an 85-degree day!

9. Spend the day at a museum

Explore a natural history museum or an art museum. Either way, you'll definitely learn something new and take away some important and fascinating discoveries!

10. Play board or card games

Be "old-school" for a night! There are times when it's great to bring out the classics!

11. Go to Disney

Surprisingly, I haven't been there before, I KNOW SHOCKING, but I would advise making it a family vacation!! Children love seeing all of the Disney princesses, and all of the fun characters they see in movies. They'll definitely remember it.

12. Get ice cream or frozen yogurt

Whether you're more of an ice cream fan, or frozen yogurt fan, either way, why not treat yourself on a hot summer day?!

13. Go camping

You can travel far in the mountains or hills, or instead, you can even just set up a tent in your backyard! Some would say, "that's not camping, your house is RIGHT THERE," but honestly, it's still very fun to hang around in a tent with friends and watch movies, and eat some fun junk food! You're still getting out of the house and doing something enjoyable.

14. Have a cookout

Invite your friends or family over to your house for a cookout! Have fun making all of the food, enjoy the social experience, and have great conversations!

Try out these ideas and I'm telling you, you'll have a great summer!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
