Sorry not sorry I'm attending the party.

Sorry, not sorry I'm enjoying the party.

What's so wrong with attending the parties?

I find nothing wrong with partying, socializing and throwing back shots or drinking a 30 rack of beer. Will these party years in college be the best four years of my life? Probably not, but they will definitely be some of my favorite years. I'll create killer memories before I have a shit-ton of responsibilities. My life will continue with great years, because my life does not stop after college, and neither do the parties.

I do not get plastered drunk every weekend or every weekday. There are nights I remember and nights I do not. Whether I remember them or not, I know I enjoy my nights out. Whether I hear about the night through other people or see it on my Snapchat story the next morning, I know these are stories I'll be telling one day or ones I'll be keeping to myself. I have learned life lessons through partying that college classes cannot teach me.

Because I like going out does not mean that I put other aspects of my life on hold or that my priorities lay in a different place than those who do not party. I work hard, study hard and party hard. Because I drink does not mean I am a flirty, obnoxious, sloppy, drunk, typical college girl who just goes out to hookup with strangers and not remember it the next day. It does not mean I do not have my life together or that I do not have goals and dreams beyond winning at beer pong. I go out to be with my friends, to meet new people, to have a good time, to take my mind off my hectic schedule for the night.

As much as I like going out, I like staying in and watching my favorite Netflix shows just as much. You think my nights end with a different guy every night when, in reality, most nights out end with me ordering pizza with friends. A successful girls' night can be a night out partying or staying in and talking about anything and everything.

I do not need you to complement my outfit, because I already know I look fly as hell. My conversations do not lack depth or intelligence just because I drink alcohol. I like going on road trips, singing in the car on the top of my lungs, going to dinner and going on new adventures to fill my Instagram with dope photos. I'm down for anything; partying is not my one and only interest.

My college years will not all be a blur and the memories will bring a smile to my face. Yes, some of the memories will make me cringe; in fact, some already do. But I have learned to laugh at them and to learn from the mistakes I make when I'm drunk; heck, I make more mistakes when I'm sober.

People may believe I depend on alcohol to have a good time, which is completely untrue. I can have just as much of a good time sober as I can when drunk. Because I add alcohol to my nights does not make me a poor, careless person who is going nowhere in life, and because you stay in every night does not make you a superior, marvelous person who is going places. Do not look at me like I'm drinking my life away, because I can guarantee my life is just as, if not more, eventful than those who stay in.

Sorry not sorry I've chosen to attend the party.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
