To My Friends
Rachel Schnitzer

Thanks for being there on my good days and lifting me up on my not so good days. I seriously don't know what I would do without you all. I can't think of a single time I haven't had one of you to turn to and for that I am ever grateful. I am so glad I have people in my life to tell me when I am about to make a mistake, and people in my life to make some of the mistakes with me. I can't count the number of times I have ended up on the floor in tears from laughing so hard. I can't count the number of times you all have been there when the tears have been real either. I know that as we are all getting older the friendships are changing. Sometimes some of us go days without talking and sometimes some of us go weeks without a text. Yet, I know that the ones that matter are still here. I know that when I need you and we haven't talked in almost a month, you will still be there to knock some sense back into my head. There are so many people in our lives that only get to stay for a season. I am just so happy that we get some forever friends that last a lifetime. So thanks for the memories. Thanks for the prayers. Thanks for the dinner dates when we've all been single and lonely. Thanks for keeping in touch. Whether it's once a week or once a day, the "I miss you" texts from you all always comes and I dread the day when it doesn't. There are so many stories I will get to tell my children and so many of you are the reason for the stories. I know we all have our differences as we have gotten older. Some of us have chosen to get married and move state's away, while others of us have chosen to endure the tortures of college. Somehow through the distance and the busyness, (and even the having twins) we all still have each others backs. So this is just a simple thank you to the loves of my life. The ones that were there through the time I bleached my hair and it looked awful to the time I jumped on a flight to Florida. The ones who stuck by my side through me moving to Tennessee, and the ones who were still there for me when I came back home. Through the late night walks and talks to the impromptu shopping trips and lunches. You are all the best friends I could have ever asked for. There may come a day when the list gets shorter and the texts don't come, but I still know that if I ever need a hand to help me up, or a laugh that puts me on my belly, all of you will always be there. I love you all so much. Thanks for being so amazing!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
