College is essentially your home away from home, so naturally, the friends you make there become your family. I hear so many people say "they love college", but is it college that we love or is it the relationships that are created here? The friends you make in college are completely different than any friends you will ever make. To be honest, they are the people that keep you in check.
Through the good and the bad nights if you are blessed with friends like mine they will be there through it all!
They are most likely your roommates
They were most likely the reasons why you made it home that one night that you have absolutely no recollection of. You go to the party together and you leave together - everyone who knows you knows how it goes.
You learn to share everything with one another
What’s mine is yours becomes your mantra. From the cute sweater in your closet to the last egg in the fridge, you learn to share. Let’s be honest, both of your bank accounts together probably equal 50 dollars so it's a win-win situation.
They cover your a** from your parents countless amount of times
They've witnessed countless breakdowns - and even after that, they still want to be your best friend
They were your punching bag when you got played by the one who you thought was different than the others or that time you failed a test you had to pass - they’ve been there for almost all of the breakdowns and they know exactly how to calm you down.
You never get sick of them
With a million memories and thousands of insides jokes, no one understands you like your best friends do. When you go home for break, you make sure that you make plans with them even if you have to road trip to one another.
You survived some of the toughest parts of college life together
Preparing for that spring break trip the night before or pulling all-nighters in the library because you waited to do everything last minute? You can count on them being in the same boat as you.
You don't hold back being who you truly are
Not only do they accept it - they love you for it.
You grew together
No one is the same person they were four years ago – these friends that you’ve made are the reason you grew as much as you did.
