Kami, this is for you!

I just want to take a moment to thank God that I came to Northgate. I thank God for placing you in my life.

I am not even sure where to start with this. There is so much I want to tell you, but this is only the start of much bigger picture.

I just want to thank you for being my un-biological sister. I remember how awkward it was (for me at least) when I first met you. Do you remember when I didn't know how to hug? Now, we have grown so close and I don't know what I would do without you. Thank you for accepting me. Thank you for loving and caring about me.

Speaking of acceptance, I thank you for never judging me. I'm so happy I am able to come to you with anything. Through my happiest times and through my worse times, you are always there and I am glad.

Every day, I am thankful for the day that we met. Meeting you was only in God's perfect timing. You stand by me and I am by you. I thank you for encouraging me and supporting me. I have grown so much. I thank you for talking with me, listening to me, and praying with me. It makes me so happy that I can trust you knowing that you will always be here for me. Thank you for never letting me down. I am thankful for all of your honesty. You are such a wonderful person and you have impacted my life in so may positive ways.

You are the older sister that I have always dreamed of having. You make me so happy. When I first met you, I did not know you would have such a big part in my life. Kami, you are someone I look up to. You are an inspiration to me. I have learned so much from you in such a short time. I enjoy every minute that I am with you or talk to you. Thank you for the smiles and for the laughter. I am so thankful to have a person like you in my life. Meeting you showed me what it is really like to have a true friend. I remember always searching for friends and always settling in groups where I did not belong. I remember always feeling friendless and alone until I met you. Meeting you showed me and made me feel what it is actually like to have someone (other than family) love you and care about you. Thank you.

I thank you for protecting me and always being here to help me. I thank you for advising me and always helping to direct me. You have helped me in so many ways, that I am not able to put into words. My feelings are much stronger. I am so happy to call you my sister.

In you I see love. In you I see selflessness. In you I see inspiration.

I am so glad God brought us together. I love you!
