If you haven’t binge-watched every episode of "Friends" on Netflix, stop reading this and go watch it. Okay, I am semi-just kidding, but seriously, you need to watch all 10 seasons of "Friends" ASAP. Once you do that, you will understand why a "Friends" reunion needs to happen. After watching nine seasons and falling in love with every character, I feel like I have become part of the friend group of six. From Joey’s adorable gullibility to Ross’s nerdy ways as a paleontologist, "Friends" will forever be my favorite show. This timeless show needs to have a reunion. They owe that to their widespread array of viewers, am I right? There is so much more us fans want to know about, ever since the show started. Here are the reasons why a "Friends" reunion simply needs to happen:
Ross and Rachel
The show left off with Ross and Rachel finally being together forever after multiple seasons where they tried to ignore their feelings for each other. Ross and Rachel just made so much sense throughout the show; with Rachel as sort of like a princess and Ross as a nerd, they were the perfect balance. Ross and Rachel just got each other, ya know?
Well, where would Ross and Rachel be now? With a reunion, fans could continue to gush over television’s best couple. Would they be married by now? Would they have another child? There are so many unanswered questions about Ross and Rachel that could be solved with a reunion. Let’s be honest, though, we will never really get over Ross and Rachel, because she is his lobster.
Monica and Chandler as parents
Aside from being Ross and Rachel’s biggest fans, Monica and Chandler come in at a close second for me. From best friends to husband and wife, Monica and Chandler are #goals. A reunion would allow us to continue to be part of this marriage, full of Monica’s bossy but sweet personality and Chandler’s sarcastic jokes and remarks. The last episode ended with Monica and Chandler bringing home their adorable adopted twins, Erica and Jack. How could we forget, right? Well, a reunion needs to happen so we can figure out what Erica and Jack are up to these days. More importantly, however, is that a reunion would give us the great pleasure of seeing Monica and Chandler as parents.
How You Doin', Joey Tribbiani
Joey Tribbiani is quiet, but possibly the best character on the show. His charming looks, funny and gullible personality, and compassion for his friends immediately makes you want to reply to his signature pick-up line, “How you doin’?” What would he be like during a reunion of the "Friends" cast (aside from involved in eating a meatball sub)? Joey Tribbiani will forever make me laugh and smile at how adorable he is, which is why fans deserve to see him in a reunion ASAP.
Phoebe and Mike
Nothing made me happier than the episode with Phoebe and Mike’s winter wonderland wedding. Out of all the characters on "Friends," Phoebe is unlike any of them. She was the most positive and loyal friend, eager to make anyone laugh with her witty sense of humor and unique view on life. I am sure I speak for majority of "Friends" fans out there when I say how happy I was that Phoebe found Mike. I wish I could hear “Smelly Cat” one more time, along with some new Phoebe Buffay hits at a reunion.
"Friends" will forever be the best sitcom and the biggest heartbreak of a show that unfortunately had to come to an end. A reunion would be a great tribute to this timeless show. With six relatable characters and a story line that never gets old, "Friends" continues to be streamed online and is still aired on television because viewers just cannot let this show go. It’s pretty self-explanatory that a reunion is long overdue and needs to happen. Until then, I’ll be there for you, Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe.
