The hit series, "Friends" was so admired by the fans that it ran for 10 seasons from 1994-2004! It was nominated for several awards out of the ten year period for its outstanding performance. It is also very popular because the show is not just loved by Millennials, but it is also loved by Gen-Z! The characters on the show are able to relate to everyday issues that we all may face no matter what age group we are in. Here are 5 reasons why I think "Friends" is the best TV show!

1. The show highlights the importance of friendship

"I'll Be There For You," the theme song, really highlights how the "Friends" characters - Rachel, Monica, Ross, Phoebe, Joey, and Chandler - are always there for each other no matter the situation. Each character is so different from each other and they all embrace and appreciate each other's differences. The characters on "Friends" show honesty in friendship and how friends should be supportive of each other.

2. There are 236 episode so rewatching episodes never gets old

There are tons of "Friends" catchphrases that are quoted throughout the entire series, but there are always new jokes in each episode. Also, "Friends" is a show where one can start watching from any episode or any season and the viewer will not be confused about the storyline.

3. "Friends" highlights real issues that families and society goes through

The popular television series highlights the effects of divorce, broken relationships, bullying, etc. Emphasizing real-life issues allows the characters to be able to relate to the audience. It allows the audience to sympathize with the characters or their peers. In addition, the writers for the show tend to add comic relief to brighten the mood once the serious issues get resolved.

4. The show emphasizes how people should not compare themselves to others

Since the "Friends" group is a larger friend group, the characters are sometimes led to compare themselves to one another about occupations, dating life, and other insecurities that we as humans often face. "Friends" teaches the viewers not to judge or compare ourselves to others. The characters are always there to support and help each other no matter how different they are in certain areas of life.

5. The characters in "Friends" are phenomenal actors

The popular tv series has been nominated for 62 Primetime Emmy's! Each character has been nominated for numerous awards on the show and each has won at least three awards for their acting abilities on "Friends." The characters, mostly Chandler Bing, often add in improv to make episodes more interesting and to get real reactions from fellow co-stars.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
