It's that time of the year, where college begins and it's time for the goodbyes and see ya laters! This is a letter to all of my friends before we all leave:
Wow, the past four years went by way too fast, and I'm honestly not ready to leave. Even though we are all leaving and going different ways, I want to say this before it's too late. Everyone I have met has had an affect on my life! No matter how small or how big, everyone has been there at some point. Saving the goodbyes and see-ya-laters is very hard when you guys have been my people for so long.
Call if you need anything! I am serious when I say, call. If things are stressful we can laugh it out, or if you just need someone to listen, I'm here. Even if its at 3 am in the morning.
Stay in touch! This is the hardest to do, because we all will meet new people and make new friends, but texting here and there makes a difference.
Don't forget your roots. Personally my roots are from my friends. I am who I am because of the people I have meet and the experiences with them! I won't forget my roots! Even if your roots don't mean your friends, your family, you can't forget them.
Don't forget the memories we have made and shared. The past four years have been a rollercoaster of memories. From the good to the bad, there are so many memories. I hope that the good times stay alive, and we can always look back and laugh about it all.
This is extremely hard to say goodbye to the people I have spent the past four to five years with. Yes, we are all going into different directions in our lives, but I have a feeling we will all come back together. This letter is more of a realization of whats happening and remembering everything we have had. I know that I can call anyone who this letter refers to, and they would answer. I don't want to call this a goodbye but its a see ya later, as in I will be visiting multiple times!
This was a very personal article, that felt right to share with others about saying goodbye and leaving for college and life. Not everyone has to leave their best friends but when you do have to, it will be hard but this is life.
