Every girl out there has an Alex Karev to her Meredith Grey or a Carter to her Sam from "Another Cinderella Story." A guy in her life that she's not attracted to in any way. Who she treats like her brother in every sense of the word. A guy that you don’t care if he sees you without make=up on or your hair in a slicked back ponytail. Every girl has a best friend that's a boy. There are many perks of having one of these.
1. They let you vent even if they're not listening. Which is okay because sometimes you just have to get it out.
2. Sometimes you just want to watch soccer and not talk so you go to their house and they are MORE than happy.
3. If a boy hurts you they always offer to beat them up even if they know good and well the boy is 3 times their size.
4. If you text them "SOS HELP," they immediately respond with are you okay? But in reality something major just happened on "One Tree Hill."
5. You always have a "boyfriend," if a creepy guy at the bar comes and talks to you and a date to those awkward family weddings.
6. If you don't have a husband by at least 32, don't worry, just marry him.
7. They'll always be there to give you advice and you'll do the same for him. Even if he asks you about the girl that you're not too fond of.. You just have to keep telling yourself "if he's happy, you're happy for him."
I'm glad to have a best friend that’s a boy to call my own. He gives me the opportunity to boss a boy around without having a brother or boyfriend. He also allows me to be a stylist even though he wears the same sorority formal t-shirts and Columbia navy shorts, I try to help his wardrobe. Even though he drives me up the wall sometimes with all his questions and he’s a meatball, I still love him.
