To me, cheese represents many things; it was my childhood snack of choice growing up; it was how I could practice geometry, by biting into Kraft singles and trying to make an outline of Texas; it is yellow and bright and tasty and somewhat colorful. A strange thing is that many of the cheeses I've devoured were either slices or completely whole without any holes. I think one day I would like to try some cheese with holes, because I'm not sure if having a club sandwich from McDonald's is good enough.
One of my favorite foods is macaroni and cheese. Most nights when I was younger, my mother and sister would make me a relatively decent-sized serving from the boxes of the ShopRite brand we had. I loved it when all of the cheese didn't get mixed in with the shells, and occasionally I would get a burst of pure cheese flavor. Although I've pretty much stopped eating the box brand since my last visit to Jamaica in the sophomore year of high school, I still enjoy it at every opportunity I can find it. I actually remember eating macaroni and cheese encrusted with chicken this past Thanksgiving. It was amazing.
I also remember this one time during my college prep program, in which I had the chance to try a variety of different cheeses from French culture. Some I liked very much, but others, not so much, but that's OK. Cheese comes in different shapes and sizes, with different reactions, just like people! I think that if I were a kind of cheese, I would be Swiss; not that I have any particular ties, but because I think Swiss is pretty delicious. Like cheddar. And mozzarella. Oh, let me tell you about mozzarella sticks! They're very gooey and warm from the inside, and they're fun to eat as long as you don't end up choking from how long and stringy the mozzarella can get. Sometimes it's very difficult to swallow, which can be hazardous. At least in my mind, anyway.
I think when I get older, I want to make my own cheese. Using some sort of milk or whatever. Because it'd seem cool, and pretty adventurous.
Honestly, it's very enjoyable to keep living because I know that I get to keep eating cheese. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
