"Animal House" (1978)
This is a cult classic of a film featuring members of the riotous Delta Tau Chi fighting to keep their fraternity from being kick off campus. The film is hilarious and still referenced all the time today. Most parents (including mine) think of this film when they imagine fraternities, which probably makes them a little hesitant in letting their kids join one.
"Neighbors" (2014)
Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne play a couple with a newborn child, who are shocked to learn that a fraternity has moved next to them. The couple is cool with the fraternity at first, until they are forced to call the cops because of a loud party. This sparks an all-out war between the two neighbors. As you would expect with any Seth Rogen movie, "Neighbors" is filled with adult humor and wild shenanigans.
"Old School" (2003)
Another classic movie involving fraternities is "Old School." In this movie, three best friends try to relive their college days by starting a fraternity of their own on a college campus. The whole premise is not only original, but also hilarious and something I will probably want to do when I’m older and a part of the “real” world. This is also one of the most quotable movies of all time.
"22 Jump Street" (2014)
The sequel to "21 Jump Street" has Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill going undercover once again, this time as college students. This movie doesn’t really revolve around the fraternity life as much as the other films I listed do, but the two of them do pledge a fraternity. This is all while they are trying to locate the supplier of a new drug called “WHYPHY,” which killed a student.
"Revenge of the Nerds" (1984)
After being tormented by the members of the Alpha Beta fraternity, the nerds plot revenge by forming their own fraternity to take them down. This renowned comedy is one of my personal favorites, and I think the whole concept is hysterical. I love all of the shenanigans they pull.
