Everyone gets hyped up to go on the road trip with their best friends. Everyone's bags are packed and in the car. The only thing stopping the road trip from starting is that you have to go pick up your friends. Everyone gets picked up and the road trip begins.
“WOOOOOOOOO!!! LET'S GO!!! ROAD TRIIIIIP!!! ROAD TRIIIIIP!!! ROAD TRIIIIIP!!!"
Stage One
Everyone is so excited and ready to take on the world. Music is loud, windows are down and selfies are taken. You start driving and gossiping about everything that has happened in the past month. Stage one is always the most fun in my opinion. It's like everyone won an award for “best-packed car" that year and had to celebrate in the car.
*everyone in the car jams out*
Stage Two
This is the part where everyone sings with the loud blaring music. No one really cares if people are staring at them because they just want to have fun and make someone's day at the same time. All the good songs come on from the 90's to the current popular hits and everyone knows them. But then it just sucks because you probably lost your voice. This stage leaves you feeling insanely content.
Stage Three
Everyone is chill, relaxed and comfortable. Unless you are in a tiny a** car … if so, then I'm sure everyone is cramped. Anyways, when everyone is done singing and jamming out hardcore, people begin to simmer down. Half of the car will fall asleep and the other half of the car will plug in headphones and tune out. The vibe is chill and everyone kind of does their own thing for a little while. It's weird because just a moment ago everyone was jamming out together. It's like someone hotboxed the car without anyone knowing.
Stage Four
“You know what's weird?"
That line right there usually takes the road trip to the next stage. This is where the conversations come out and get deeper and deeper as time passes on. Sometimes it's only a couple of people in the conversation and sometimes it's everyone who's in the car. In this stage, it's like someone injected alcohol into everyone's body and got them drunk after the car got hotboxed. Everyone starts sharing stories and talking about deep stuff while surprisingly sober. You soon realize how valuable your friends are in your life.
After all four stages, the road trip kind of just plateaus. Or maybe my road trips aren't as exciting as yours.
