Forgive Those Who Wronged You

Forgiving those who have hurt you will make you stronger.

Forgive Those Who Wronged You

A wise man named Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies." I really love this quote for many reasons, the main one being that it expresses the power of forgiveness. It is one of the most powerful things someone can do and yet not many people can actually do it. This quote was beautifully said because it is true that no one in the world is perfect, and we all do make mistakes. Nobody says you have to be with the person who wronged you, or hurt you, ever again, but forgiving is part of the process of letting go.

To forgive someone for all that they've done is something that takes the strength of your entire being.

Forgiveness comes from within the heart and that is something Jesus Christ taught me.

My religion of Catholicism showed me forgiveness and I know that no matter what it is the golden thing to do. I've held a strong faith in Jesus Christ since I was a little girl and Christ helped me to see that forgiveness is an important thing in life to do. There are many reasons why we should forgive those who have drove hatred and madness towards us. When we forgive those who have hurt us, it enables us to be stronger individuals and to let go of horrible vibes. Walking around with hate towards another human being for the rest of your life really isn't healthy and will always be dragging you down. Is it really going to be making you feel better? No, I didn't think so.

We must forgive everyone because everyone deserves forgiveness. It doesn't mean that you will be with that person ever again but it means that you can stop walking around with hate in your heart. I've forgiven many people throughout my life who have done me wrong, but I'll never forget what they actually did to me. I truly do believe that everyone deserves someone else to forgive their wrong doings.

There was someone who was very close to me who hurt me in more ways than anyone else has ever hurt me. Even though this person did all that they did, I was able to pray to God and truly be able to forgive that person. I pray to God that this person gets the help that they truly need, and that they finally realize what they did to me was wrong. I didn't want to walk around with any more hate, therefore I forgave this person and hope this person receives the help that they need and that God comes into their life eventually.

"To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness." - Robert Muller

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
