Frankfurt, a small village where a young girl named Amalia lived. Her father was the villages' carpenter, her mother stayed at home and took care of the family. A new home was being built for the governor's family, Amalia's father was in charge. Governor Berthold, was a strong and poised man. He had an elegant aura when he arrived, everyone loved him for he was a good governor. His wife was sweet and was born in München, she had moral and she Also was loved. Lastly, the two sons, the eldest named Felix and the other Nikolaus. The sons were very handsome, every girl in the village wanted to marry them! Anyway, the Governor Berthold would occasionally visit the house, checking to see if everything was alright. One day his daughter, Amalia wanted to go to work with him.

And so they went.

When they arrived, and were surprised by a young man to be at the site. He said this is magnificent, if I were as skilled as this man, I would have built my home by myself! "Hello" said Amalia's father, "oh sorry I haven't properly introduced myself" said the man. "My name is Felix, I am the eldest son of Governor Berthold". " oh, very nice to meet you, I hope you've liked what you have seen" said Amalia's Father.

"Sir, it's an honor that you built this house for us, and who may this young lady be? " said Felix. "This is my daughter Amalia". Felix complimented her and said that once the house is finished they must come to the house for a party. A few days passed and this time two boys showed up to the house. Felix and a young lad with curly red hair and blue eyes, dashing he was. Felix introduced his brother Nikolaus.

Nikolaus and Felix asked Amalia to show them around. She showed them around town, she said she had to go back home for supper. Felix said " well one of us must drop you off, it's awful late out here". Nikolaus said " I will brother, go off and get our horses we must travel back tonight"

Nikolaus and Amalia walked on the cobblestone road, they laughed and passed glances at each other. Clearly there was chemistry there, they both knew. They arrived at her house, Nikolaus got the courage to ask her on a date. So the next day, Nikolaus showed up in a horse drawn carriage, he had planned the day already. He took her to the store, where he had bought her an extravagant red dress. After buying the dress, they went to the courtyard and he taught her how to waltz. They waltzed till sunset, he then brought out a basket of food. Food from all over the world, also a little cup of tea and biscuits. Night was dawning and Amalia had to get home. In the car ride back, Nikolaus asked her to be his date for the ball. She said yes and kissed him on the cheek💋

A few days passed and Felix wanted to check the house, he spent a few hours with Amalia's father. He had grown a liken to Felix and asked Felix to come to supper tonight. Evening dawned and Felix and her father show up to the house. Amalia was shocked because she had already fallen for Nikolaus. He gave her the happiness no one else had ever given her. He was her's and she was his and that was that. By the end of the night, Felix asked her father, if she would take her hand in marriage. Amalia ran out the door and ran to the courtyard. She cried and cried, she didn't want to be with Felix, she wanted Nikolaus. But she wouldn't go against her father's word. Once Nikolaus found out he was livid, his love for his brother turned into hatred.

As time went on, Felix visited Amalia, took her out and showed her a grand time. Yet there was no love no happiness. He had no goals, he only wanted one thing, a woman to have kids with and then leave in the dust. He wanted the family image but never wanted to play the actually role. Nikolaus would secretly meet with Amalia, they fell in love even more, then schemed and schemed ways to get out of this awful mess. As time passed, the hate for felix grew and grew.

Finally, the house was built, the invitations to the ball were sent out, Amalia was meant to go with Nikolaus but had to go with Felix. Amalia didn't want Nikolaus to kill his brother. But nothing would change his mind. So the party started, Felix waltzed with Amalia, then asked Amalia to join him in the back in a few minutes. A few minutes passed, Amalia went out and Felix was looking at the sky. He said, Amalia you are beautiful, he went on with a row of lies. Then he pulled her in for a kiss and then started wandering. This scared Amalia for this wasn't something she wanted, he got mad and things went into chaos. She screamed, Nikolaus was watching from a distance. He ran over and then pushed his brother. He started punching him, saying she was mine, you take everything from me. Why did you touch her? You do not know of the word love, you know only of the word lust.

I will not spare you for you hurt her, she is mine, I will do anything to protect her. He pulled out a knife, and said even if it means killing my own. Felix pleaded and pleaded, Amalia had to do something quick and fast. She stepped in front of Felix, she was stabbed.

Nikolaus screamed, he said call for the doctor we need help. He asked Amalia why did you do this? I don't want to lose you he said. Because your family is your own, whether blood or not, he is your own. You don't hurt your own even when they hurt you. Nikolaus carried Amalia to his room, the doctor came and said, do not worry she will make it. A few hours later, Amalia woke up and both her family and the two brothers were there. They said, you should have told us silly! They laughed and her father said Nikolaus take my daughter in marriage for you are within her and she is within you.

And finally they got married, they lived in a house with a white picket fence, had 4 children and lived happily ever after. The sword was made to symbolize protection for your own, it was made in the honor of Amalia and Nikolaus, for he protected her and she protected the brother. There compassion and love was what kept their love alive and made them conquer the obstacles they had.

The end🗡

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
