10 Food Items Every Family Needs On Their Table This Thanksgiving

Oh my gosh you all, it is almost that day where we come together to eat, say thanks and give glory to God for another day. Yes, that's right, Thanksgiving is literally around the corner. I hope you have your list together, but if you do not, here is what I would make my family buy and cook. I would help, but I am a tired college student, who would not mind making all the delicious food disappear. Take into consideration all these amazing food items down below.. (You won't regret it but your stomach might in 3 hours)

1. Juicy turkey

Alison Marras

When you cook your turkey make sure you have juice. Don't be out here eating dry behind turkey... no ma'am

2. Sweet potato souffle

This meal right here, a special person has to make this. It has to be just right, not too many nuts or marshmallows though.

3. Cheesy mac n' cheese

Cate O' Malley

Some of yall like that dry mac and cheese, but for me, it has to be cheesy. If you have not had cheesy, cheesy mac and cheese than this is the year for you to grub on it.

4. Corn casserole

anokarina

Most people eat green bean casserole but I am not fond it that much, but this right here is banginggggg!! Have someone you know who can throw down in the kitchen to make this.

5. Fresh dinner rolls

Buck

Nothing to this, but make sure they are not hard. Please, they HAVE to be soft so that butter can spread easily.

6. Honey bake ham

Coke and brown sugar will make such a beautiful glaze for this ham.

7. Hot water cakes

Grav Weldon

If you don't know now ya know..know. This is the best and only way to eat cornbread. Use a measuring cup when doing this so you can have even amount.

8. Dressing/stuffing

This is my absolute favorite thing to make with my mommy. All the ingredients that go into this meal are just mind-blowing and amazing. You have to help your parents make this just one time and I promise you will always want to make it.

9. Mash potatoes

turnofthesue

This needs no introduction, but if it ain't garlic and creamy then there is no other way honey.

10. Finger looking desserts

Selena N.B.H

This is all up to you. My personal pie I eat is sweet potato pie with ice cream. The pie has to be warm and the ice cream has to be hella cold. Best combination you would ever taste in your life.

I know yall. I am sincerely sorry for making you drool and having your mind stuck on Thanksgiving and all that food. Thanksgiving is not about the meal, but it is an excellent time to reflect back on life and get to know your family and friends again. However, when that food comes out that is when all talking dies down...for now. Which one are you going to try this Thanksgiving? Or if you always have these at yours, which one is your absolute favorite?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
