1. Food

Thanksgiving is a holiday where you are engulfed in a plethora of food. Imagine being knee-deep in mashed potatoes and gravy, and now imagine Thanksgiving. Same thing, right? There is no better feeling than looking down at your plate and seeing all of the turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and any other family favorites that you might see on the table that day.

2. Family


Thanksgiving is a holiday where you are surrounded by the ones you love. Thanksgiving is one of the few times a year when many family members actually sit around a table and enjoy a nice, home-cooked meal. Throughout all of the food and other holiday distractions, family never seems to be overlooked. It is days like this where you get a true sense of what family really means to you.

3. Football

Thanksgiving is also a holiday where NFL football rivals face off for turkey legs. Yes, this is actually true. At the end of the game, the winning team's most valuable player gets a turkey leg to chow down on during the post-game interview. When you're done eating at the table, you can simply plop yourself down on the couch and watch some football while viciously eating a piece of pumpkin pie.
