So, in between doing my mipoint project, I actually found some time to think about something other than work. Here's this week's ponderings.
This week, I've been thinking about rules. Now and then, we all want to break a rule, but despite this yearning, there can be repercussions.
There are always times when you'd love to break a rule, but you don't. This can lead to a sudden feeling of a denial about why you didn't or couldn't. Deep down, you didn't go through with because you know that it's the right thing not to. You know better than to fall into the trap.
There are certain times when it's worth taking the risk, and there that is isn't.
Freedom is an amazing thing, but it must be used wisely, because it is something that is abused all too often.
IF you want to break something, break the mold. Smash the idea of societal norms. Individuality is worth it, opposition to the rule isn't.
There's no better way to make a statement quite like just being yourself. Something that so many people look over for excuses to look cool, when they are afraid to be themselves. There's a truly fascinating aspect about being different, because it's one of a kind, and no two are alike.
There's a form of safety there, because you're breaking a figurative mold. When wrongful things are done, you are breaking a literal law.
We always try to find common ground, but all the little differences are what make us want to dig deeper.
So, if you really want something to do, you can go right ahead and follow the rules and break the mold. Be a true original.
