Five Things My Senior Year Has Taught Me

Your high school years go by way quicker than what they seem. You start out and you are a freshmen eager to take on the world. Then flash forward and you're a senior and the real world comes all too quickly. Here are five things that my senior year has taught me!

1.) Life changes quickly, for good or for bad, and you have to be ready to adjust. Life happens and you have to make changes and move on. Because who knows what's to come. You're entering a whole new world and you don't know what you're doing.

2.) Your friends this year could be there for the rest of your life, but they also could not be. I don't have many friends and I am not sure if any of them would actually stay by my side through the years.

3.) Your high school relationship could last, it could not. I learned early on that the person I thought I would be with forever, wasn't the one for me. Then I met my current boyfriend and its completely different. And don't be afraid to give up a long term relationship if it isn't what you want anymore. I know the feeling, you don't want to give up all the wasted time and money and care, but trust me, once you let go, its a big bright beautiful world.

4.) Don't worry if you feel behind in the college process. You might be behind but that doesn't mean that you won't get into college. So, yes, apply for things and start the process, but don't panic if you feel behind.

5.) Don't give up. Live life with love and care for everyone. Pay attention to yourself. Love yourself. Push yourself. Get through college and start life. You have to keep going. You didn't come this far just to give up. Keep going. And trust in God fully. Always trust in His plan and what He has mapped out for you. Trust in God and ask Him daily if what you are doing is right. Trust in Him and life will come easier.

High school goes by way too fast and by the end, nothing seems out of reach. I am so thankful for my high school and everything it has taught me, especially my senior year.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
