First off, I hope you are excited for the upcoming four best years of your life. I'm not saying this just because it's cliche, I really do hope you realize how many great days and endless memories you have in front of you--my perfect little one.
1. I'm not very artistic.
Now, listen. I might not be the most artistically inclined person when it comes to making your big/little week gifts, but I will try my best. Hopefully you will at least appreciate the pitiful attempts. Please at least try to look decently happy when you open your gifts, even if you are immensely disappointed after looking around the room and seeing a few Picasso-like master pieces from the other girls. I'll be sure to make up for it with my cooking skills (which are slightly better).
2. Be ready to order pizza with me at 3 a.m.
Any little of mine will hopefully love pizza as much as I do. Just remember, calories don't count after midnight (or so I tell myself). Besides, who doesn't crave some gooey, cheesy goodness after a long night of studying, going out, or just for the heck of it? I definitely do.
3. Prepare to listen to all my relationship issues.
So since I will most likely be texting you all day, every day, being noisy about your personal life and making sure you're ok 24/7, somewhere along those lines you are going to have to put up with my guy drama. I'm probably going to do the opposite of whatever good advice you give me (sorry for that) but I still want you to share your opinions anyways. If my boyfriend and I ever get into a fight, I'm probably going to show up at your door step with a pint of Ben And Jerry's and some Skinny Pop and vent to you. Sorry, but you are going to be stuck with me whether you like it or not.
4. You're going to be my best friend and prodigy.
Basically, I'm going to show your perfect little self off to everyone, because I'm clearly going to be so proud to call you my little. You are most likely going to get sick of me because I will be checking up on you to make sure you get home safely, have a ride to places, have your fridge stocked, have an outfit for an event, or whatever else you could possibly need.
5. Be ready to join the best family out there.
Joining a sorority family basically ensures you a group of girls that will do anything for you and love you for who you are. Be ready to carry on the long lineage of our family!
So I hope you are just as goofy and weird as I am, and can wander around College Ave with me, kill it on the dance floor, and have no shame in finishing off massive amounts of queso and pizza, but also spend countless all nighters in the library with me cramming for exams.
I'll meet you soon...
Love, your big.
