Regardless of the age difference, there are many things that all sisters experience.
1. Finding them wearing your favorite clothes or accessories. Sometimes even using your make-up. Which the majority of the time they don’t even bother to ask.
This is something all sisters struggle with. You’ll be getting ready go to out and you’ll go to find your favorite shirt, except it isn’t there. So you start searching the house for your shirt, only to see your sister wearing it. You’ll immediately get mad, even though the other day you just did the same thing.
2. Constantly having them annoy and bother you, many times just for pure spite.
Having a sibling is hard enough, but having a sister can be worse. Often times your sister knows you better than anyone else, which means they know just what makes you tick. Many of times you’ll find them singing in the shower just ever too loudly to annoy you, or purposely embarrassing you in front of your friends. Which in their defense you can’t say you’ve never done it either.
3. Always having someone to look after.
No matter how much you hate to admit it, you will fight tooth and nail over your sister. Whether it’s someone breaking their heart, to one of your friends giving them crap. The only person allowed to make fun of them is you, and only you. She may never see you do it, but you have gotten into fights over her when you were both growing up. You may never receive a thank you, but seeing her happy is enough to keep you happy. Everyone around you knows never to mess with your sister.
4. Always having someone to do your bidding.
Now, having a sister does have its perks. Many times your sister cares for you in the sense that they will do just about anything for you, especially when you were both younger. You can’t say that you haven’t often times taken advantage of this by having them do chores for you, or even letting you watch the TV show you want to watch. Depending on their age, this may not happen as often, but if you play your cards right, your sister will still do what it takes to make you happy. Not saying you won’t do the same for her.
5. No matter what happens in life you will always have a best friend.
You’ll always have your ups and downs with your sister, but one thing that will remain throughout time is you will always have a best friend. Your bond with your sister only grows closer as you grow older. You’ll always have someone to confide in for the rest of your life. As time goes by the arguments become less and less, and your relationship blossoms into something real and genuine. Something that can never be broken.
