On many days of the week, you can find me watching Netflix instead of doing important things, such as homework. With that being said, I've watched too many shows to count, thanks to Netflix. The great thing about Netflix is that you can watch shows whenever you want, day and night. You have a class in 20 minutes? That's okay. You can just pick up right where you left off. Netflix has some of the greatest shows you could watch, including originals. Next time you're looking for something to watch, you should check out one of these five shows.
1. House of Cards
"House of Cards" is one of those shows that starts off kind of slow, but has a great payoff once it really gets going. With three seasons out already, there are plenty of episodes to binge. It follows a politician and his journey to the top of Washington, D.C. The fourth season is coming out on March 4, so now would be a great time to start watching.
2. Fuller House
I have to admit, this isn't necessarily the most well-written show you could watch. I suggest this one, solely based off of nostalgia. I grew up watching reruns on TV, so this one is pretty easy for me to suggest.
3. Friday Night Lights
This show still remains as one of my favorite shows of all time. It follows small-town Texas high school football and the inner workings of it. It's difficult to stop watching, so prepare to spend hours on Netflix.
4. Making A Murderer
Though I have yet to see this one, I have heard nothing but great things. It follows the story of a man who is falsely accused of assaulting someone. He then gets released from prison and allegedly ends up actually committing murder, once freed. It presents an interesting case on how this man reached the point that he did.
5. Parks and Recreation
I was hesitant to start this show. I had low expectations for it and they were definitely surpassed. Though it's a sitcom, it has the most heart of any comedy that I've ever seen. With episodes that are only 20 minutes long, it's hard not to burn through it pretty quickly.
I could go on and on about Netflix shows that would be great to watch, but the best way to find a great TV show is to watch it yourself. These suggestions are merely suggestions, but, in my opinion, great ones nonetheless. Through trial and error, I've found many shows that I've thoroughly enjoyed. Do yourself a favor and watch some Netflix.
