3 days. That's all I had in Paris. Yes, it was a short trip; however, I made the most of my time there. It was magical. I visited the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Paris Opera House, Arc de Triomphe, and Palace of Versailles. Paris is full of history, lights, and love. It was an unforgettable experience. The following are five reasons why you should visit this beautiful European city.
1. You can take a selfie with the Mona Lisa.
Yes. It's not your typical everyday selfie. It's not with just any piece of art. It's with the Mona Lisa. In a mosh pit of about 30 people, visitors have to maneuver their way through the crowd just to get a close glimpse of Leonardo da Vinci's most famous work. It's a must see when in Paris. This piece of art work in located in the Paris's art museum, the Louvre. It's one of the largest museums in the world!
2. You can eat snails.
Not what Ron Weasley says, "Eat slugs." No, eat snails. Escargot. I know what you must be thinking. Ewww, that's gross! You may even have the face of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen when they were about to eat escargot in "Passport to Paris." Yes, I was grossed out at first. But I am glad I made the decision to try them because I loved every single bite of the dish. Escargot tastes a little like chicken. It was delicious. Each snail was dipped in a pesto sauce which hit the spot!

3. You can gaze upon the Eiffel Tower.
The symbol of Paris. The Eiffel Tower. The tallest structure in France. It's a beautiful sight. Just before the tower, a long, narrow pond with fountains rests. On a hot day, visitors take a dip in the shallow pond and also enjoy the water fountain shows that take place a few times every day.
4. You can meet the Phantom of the Opera.
For all you Phantom of the Opera fans out there this one is for you. Yes, the Phantom lives in the Paris Opera House. Just kidding. That's just in the movie. However, the location of the movie, 'The Phantom of the Opera,' is based on this opera house. With it's brilliant decor and famous chandelier, visiting the Paris Opera House will make you feel like you are in the movie. I even had to sing a little of "Think of Me" while walking through the majestic halls of the opera house.
5. You can visit the Palace of Versailles.
The palace where Marie Antoinette lived. No, not Kirsten Dunst. The real Marie Antoinette and her husband, King Louis XVI! It is a beautiful palace. Gold everywhere. Gold paint and the real metal. If it's real, it is covered by glass in order to preserve the metal. That's just a small fact that I learned on my tour through the palace.
Paris, a beautiful city, full of gold, delicious delicacies, and music. If you ever find yourself in Paris, France, I encourage you to visit one or more of these places or at least take a bite of escargot!
