It is never a bad time to watch a scary movie.

Five Horror Movies To Watch When The Halloween Season Is Over

As the Halloween season approaches an end, it is now time to hang up the Christmas lights, put out the cornucopia in the middle of the table, and start blaring the 24/7 Christmas music radio station. That should not stop you from watching a good scary movie, though.

Surprisingly, Netflix has a great number of scary movies to watch. Some may be taken down once November begins, but you may have time to watch some of these.

1. Hush

This movie is 10/10 scary good. It keeps you on your feet every second, and you even find yourself yelling at some points because you cannot stand the antagonist. It is different than a horror movie that you would watch with your friends on movie night; no simple plot, 10 minute running away scene, none of that. This movie will give you a good scare, but it is so worth the watch. (Available on Netflix).

2. Scream 2

(Okay, before you watch this one, make sure you have seen the first movie. It will make more sense to you.)

The Scream movies will keep you wondering who the killer is. If you have not watched this (or any of the movies), now is the time you do. This is a good movie to watch any time of the year, since it is not set during the season of Halloween. It is a bit creepy too. What normal person calls you and asks what your favorite scary movie is? (Available on Netflix).

3. Heathers

Before I watched this, I was confused as to why it was considered a horror movie. Then I watched it, and you will see why Netflix and Hulu place it under this category once you watch it, too. Heathers is a suspenseful movie with all kinds of twists and turns. There is a even a musical version of it, so that probably makes it even better. This movie is scary at points, but it will keep you on edge. (Available on Netflix and Hulu).

4. The Amityville Horror

Both versions of this movie are pretty great. I do, however, prefer the 2005 version, but only because I love Ryan Reynolds. I think both movies have their strengths and weaknesses. The newer one seems more unrealistic at some points, because it is a bit over exaggerated, and the older is a bit slower to get in to, but both are great. Paranormal movies are always great to watch whenever. It does not need to be Halloween to get spooked by a ghost. (1979 version available on Hulu/ 2005 version available on Netflix and Hulu).

5. The Blair Witch Project

This is the original Paranormal Activity. It is one of the best, and scariest, horror movies. When it was made in 1999, it was so different than other movies coming out, and some people even thought that this movie was an actual documentary. It seems more believable than the paranormal movies that come out today, which makes it even better. (Available on Hulu).

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
