Brunch is easily one of my favorite activities to do on the weekends. While living in Boulder, I have had the opportunity to eat at some really great places and try some awesome food. So if anyone is ever looking to get some bomb food or are just coming for a visit, here is a list of five brunch spots than are essential to this wonderful college town.
1. Snooze
This was one of the first places I ever had brunch in Boulder, and it is ah-mazing. The vibe is super laid back and they are always playing good music. The people that work there are hard working and nicer than ever. They have a bar where you can enjoy a bloody mary, and there is always coffee available while you wait to be seated. All of their food is close to perfect, but some of my favorite dishes are the OMG french toast, and the Bella Bella Benny. Make sure to stop by this fabulous eatery, but make sure to come early, you cannot make reservations and waits can be up to an hour or more (although waiting is well worth it).
2. The Buff
This is a classic place for me and my friends to go on the weekends. This brunch spot has a rustic yet modern look to it. Serving all of their iced drinks in huge mason jars and offering 99 cent mimosas, no wonder this place is so popular. Everyone always seems happy when they eat here and for me this is a place where I can catch up with friends. I am a huge fan of the breakfast tacos and their breakfast nachos, but their menu is so full of great options that it's hard to name them all.
3. Alpine Modern Cafe
If you need a place to get not only good food but a good Instagram pic as well, this is the place! The layout of this spot is simplistic, yet homey feeling. The way they present their food makes it even look more delicious than it already is. Their lattes are to die for, and you can even enjoy them by an outdoor fire!
4. Moe's Bagels
I'm from the East Coast, so I know a good bagel. Despite being detached from the greatest bagels ever, Moe's does a pretty good job at making a tasty bagel. Their menu is endless and you even have the option to customize your entire bagel! Side-note, their iced coffee come with ice cubes made of coffee! This blew my mind!
5.The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse
After walking through Boulder's Farmers' Market, nothing is better than getting a bite to eat here. This restaurant is absolutley beautiful and has some amazing history behind it. It has a vast array of teas and meals that are all unique. Dushanbe has its own original twist on eggs benedict, as well as a french omelette that is pretty insane.
